Frequently asked questions.
Everything you need to know before getting started.
Option Panel is a comprehensive options trading management platform that helps you track, analyze, and optimize your options trades across multiple broker accounts. It provides real-time risk analysis, Greeks calculations, and portfolio management tools designed for serious options traders.
Option Panel is fully usable today and still actively evolving. Your account and credentials are protected from day one: broker integrations, trade data, encryption, and billing run on the same production stack we will ship at general availability. On the broker side, you can connect a live Tradier account and use Option Panel's native paper accounts today; integrations with Charles Schwab, TradeStation, Interactive Brokers, and more brokers are actively in development and will appear in the app as they ship. The product is still being shaped across the board — you may run into rough edges or features with known limitations. To make those easy to surface, the app ships with a dedicated feedback panel: you can file a bug report or a feature request in a couple of clicks, capture annotated screenshots and record short videos right inside Option Panel, and the report lands directly with the engineering team — no extra tools, no leaving the app. In return for joining us at this stage, traders who subscribe during Beta keep a permanent discount on their plan, applied automatically at checkout, even after public launch. Support response times during Beta target 24–48 hours, and a single request can land in days instead of weeks. For a visual walk-through of the feedback flow and the rest of the Beta benefits, see the Beta callout on the home page.
No. Option Panel is a technology platform that lets you connect your brokerage account — or manage trades manually without a connection — to give you powerful tools for analyzing, managing, and tracking your options positions. We do not provide brokerage services, place or manage orders on your behalf, or have any access to your funds. Your money stays with your broker, just as it always has.
We integrate with multiple major brokers, and we're continuously adding support for more. If your broker isn't integrated yet, you can still use Option Panel to create and manage your trades manually, with the help of the platform's built-in tools.
Once you connect your broker account, Option Panel automatically imports your trades and fills. The sync runs periodically to keep your portfolio up to date.
Yes, security is our top priority. Your broker credentials are encrypted using industry-standard encryption and are never stored in plain text. We use read-only API access where possible, meaning we can view your trades but cannot execute trades or withdraw funds on your behalf.
Yes. You can explore all of Option Panel's features completely free for 15 days — no credit card required.
Absolutely. You can continue using your broker's platform alongside Option Panel without any issue. However, we recommend avoiding mixing the management of the same trade across both platforms. If you open a trade through Option Panel, we suggest managing it through to close there as well — executing part of the associated orders through Option Panel and part directly through your broker may cause sync issues. That said, any independent trades you choose to manage entirely through your broker are completely fine.
Yes. All plans, including the Free tier, include access to Option Panel's native paper accounts. Additionally, if your broker offers a paper account and your subscription allows it, you can connect your broker's paper account alongside your live one. The main difference is that Option Panel's native paper accounts use real-time price data, whereas broker paper accounts typically have a 15-minute delay.
In Option Panel's native paper accounts, index and futures options are not currently supported. For broker-connected accounts — both paper and live — support will depend on whether the broker's API covers those instruments, which varies on a case-by-case basis.
The Risk Graph visualizes your potential profit and loss across different underlying prices and time periods. It shows you exactly how your position will perform under various market conditions. You can adjust the date slider to see how time decay affects your position.
Option Panel uses advanced options pricing models including Black-Scholes and Binomial (CRR) models to calculate Greeks. We fetch real-time market data including implied volatility to provide accurate Delta, Gamma, Theta, Vega, and Rho calculations for each position and your overall portfolio.
Yes. You can create multiple portfolios to organize your trades by strategy, underlying, or any other criteria. Each portfolio can be assigned a custom color for easy identification. Filter your dashboard and reports by portfolio to focus on specific trading strategies.
We offer several subscription tiers to match your trading needs. Plans vary by the number of broker accounts, trades, and portfolios you can manage. Visit our pricing page to see the current plans, or start with a free trial to explore all features.
Yes, you can cancel your subscription at any time. Your plan will remain active until the end of the current billing period.
Absolutely not. Option Panel is not a broker and has no agreements of any kind with any broker. We are a technology platform, and our revenue comes entirely from user subscriptions. Your broker will continue to charge you their usual commissions — exactly as before — but that has nothing to do with us.
Right now, the experience is optimized for desktops and screens with at least 768px width. That said, we're actively working on it — and a native iOS and Android app is already on our roadmap.
The Trade Journal allows you to document your trading decisions, attach screenshots, and add notes to each trade. This helps you review your thought process, learn from both wins and losses, and improve your trading strategy over time.
Our checkout labels that field "Business name" because the payment provider's API is business-first, but it accepts your full personal name if you're an individual. The name you enter there is the one that will appear on your invoice as the customer name. In the Tax ID field next to it, individuals enter their NIF (Spain), national ID, or equivalent; businesses enter their CIF (Spain), VAT number (EU), EIN (US), etc.
You can reach our support team through the Contact page. We typically respond within 24-48 hours. For urgent issues or feature requests, please include as much detail as possible to help us assist you quickly.
