Creating a trade

Creating a trade is how you open a new position in Option Panel. You choose the underlying, build the legs from the option chain, and review the trade’s risk profile before any capital is committed. The video above walks through the full flow.

How it works

• Pick the underlying and account — start a new trade and select the symbol and the account it belongs to.
• Build the position — add option legs (or stock) from the chain, set the quantity and direction, and combine them into the strategy you want.
• Review before committing — the trade opens in Draft state, where the risk graph and what-if analysis let you simulate the position before you send anything to your broker.
